Great learning to walk push toy! December 6, 2009 G-ma Linda (Kula, HI) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We bought our 8 1/2 mo. old granddaughter this "Wonderworld Jolly Walker Push Toy" when she decided she was not going to crawl but wanted to hold on to our fingers or other things and "walk". She would push her stroller whenever possible but could not see where she was going. This walker is just the right size for her and is helping her also with her balance. She loves pushing it around and giving her toys a ride. The removable cloth basket/liner is great for easy spot cleaning or to toss into the washer.
The only thing I would improve on this walker is maybe larger wheels to make it a little easier to push on plush or shag carpets. She loves it anyway and is rarely without it!
Wonderful Wonderworld December 11, 2009 R. Dorr 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I got this for my 9 month old daughter who wants to do nothing but pull up, stand and walk. I chose this product as it has adjustable friction (so she wouldn't go flying across the floor!) It is wonderful. She loves it already (I unpacked it 2 hours ago.) We have put her books in the basket (which adds some weight to it) and she is already pushing the cart around and pulling up and sitting down by holding onto the walker. I have the friction on very high for a while until she gets used to the motion. It seems very sturdy. Just a great toy. I am thrilled with it.
Our daughter loves it!! January 23, 2010 Happy Amazon Customer 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
We just bought this for our 11-month old daughter and absolutely loves it. We have another wooden walker with the ducks that clack when pushed, but she never seemed to take to it and also would constantly fall with it (she once banged and cut her chin on it) because it moved too quickly. The fact that you can change and control the speed with this push toy is fantastic and she can easily push it over our hardwood floors as well as the area rugs. She loves putting her stuffed bear in the basket and now we can't get her to stop wanting to push it around the entire house! It is a bit pricey, but well worth it in my opinion given the quality and how much our daughter enjoys it.
AMENDMENT: after a couple of days, the front right wheel started to fall off. For some reason, the push toy kept veering to the right and although we initially thought it was just the way our daughter was pushing it, we soon figured out it was because the wheel was falling off. The wheel then fell completely off and we couldn't get it back on because the threads on the bolt appeared damaged. Returned it to Amazon and they sent a new replacement via 2-day shipping, so I applaud their responsiveness.
Excellent but difficult to assemble June 27, 2010 Nonni 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Jolly Walker seemed ideal for an almost-walker as I read the reviews. It is, if you can assemble it. My son-in-law generated a sweat putting it together, something about the tips of the screws being cut off and requiring more strength than I had to tighten them securely. (Cutting the tips of the screws may have been a mandatory safety requirement.) Once assembled, it is perfect with bright colors and a low center of gravity but be forewarned that you need some muscle to assemble it.
Good toy, difficult to assemble August 31, 2010 Gabriele (TN) My daughter got this toy for her first birthday and she liked it very well. It is the perfect height for a toddler learning to walk to hold to, the buggy part can hold a doll or any other toy she choses, and it was sturdy enough for her to sit in it without it tipping over. The friction break is a little tricky to set to "just right" so that it helps the walker roll slowly but doesn't make it too hard to push, but it is easy to tinker with. My one complaint about it was that it was very difficult to assemble- it should have been simple, but the screw holes were drilled a bit too small, thus it took 2 adults to put it together, one to hold it and another to turn the screws. My husband is an engineer, and has assembled a lot of toys for our 3 kids over the years, and he rated it as difficult to put together.
Overall- I still like the toy very much, we had a Haba walker for my son at this age, it was too heavy to turn, this one is much lighter and I believe will be much easier to manuver around things as my daughter grows.
